Frequently asked questions
The short version: pick a plan, check out, and manage everything from the client area.
General
How do I order?
Choose a product and plan, then click Buy. That takes you to our billing system, where you pick any add-ons and finish the order. Once payment clears, the service is set up automatically.
How does billing work?
Plans are billed in USD, monthly or, for game servers, for several months up front at a discount. All your services, invoices and add-ons are in one account in the client area. See the pricing page for every plan.
Where are your servers?
In a datacenter we run ourselves, on our own hardware and network, using our own IP space.
How do I get support?
Open a support ticket from the client area, or ask us onDiscord (opens in a new tab). Tickets are best for anything about your account or billing; Discord is good for quick questions, before or after you order.
Game Servers
What is the dedicated IP add-on?
By default, game servers share an IP address with other customers. For +$4.00/mo on any plan, you can add a dedicated IPv4 address from our own /24 block, so the address is used only by your server.
You choose it in the configuration step of checkout after you click Buy. You don't need to pick a special plan.
Which ports will my game server use?
Servers are set up with each game's standard ports, such as 25565 for Minecraft Java, 19132 for Bedrock and 28015 for Rust. Each game page lists the full set, including query and RCON ports where the game uses them. On a shared IP, a standard port can already be taken by another server, in which case you're given a different one. With the dedicated IP add-on, the standard ports on that address are reserved for you.
How do I manage my game server?
Every game server runs in our game panel at games.taekni.ai. From there you get a web console, file manager, SFTP access, scheduled tasks and start/stop/restart controls. Billing, invoices and add-ons are in the client area.
How long does game server setup take?
Provisioning is automatic. The server is created in the panel as soon as the order is activated, usually within a few minutes. Large games may need extra time for their first file download.
How are game server plans priced?
Plans are priced at $2.00 per GB of RAM per month, with CPU and NVMe SSD storage scaled to each tier. See the pricing table to compare every plan.
Is there a discount for paying several months at once?
Yes. At checkout you can pay monthly, or for 3, 6 or 12 months up front:
- 3 months: 5% off
- 6 months: 10% off
- 12 months: 15% off
The plan renews for the same term at the same price.
What storage do game servers use?
Every game server runs on NVMe SSDs. NVMe reads and writes many times faster than SATA SSDs or hard drives, so worlds load and save quickly, new chunks and map areas generate without stalls, and large modpacks start sooner. Each plan's disk size is listed with its RAM and CPU.
Can I upgrade or switch game server plans later?
Plan changes go through the client area. If you want to move to a bigger plan or a different Minecraft Java variant, contact us and we'll help you move.
What does "vCPU" mean on a game server plan?
It's the CPU limit for your server, measured in CPU threads. For example, 1.5 vCPU means your server can use up to one and a half threads' worth of processing time.
Virtual Private Servers
Which operating systems can I run?
You choose Ubuntu 24.04, AlmaLinux 9.7, Debian 12, Rocky Linux 9.6, CentOS Stream 9.6 or Oracle Linux 8.9 at checkout, and the server is installed with it.
Do I get root access?
Yes. Each VPS is a KVM virtual machine with full root access.
How does the Custom VPS plan work?
It starts at the smallest size. Size the CPU cores, RAM and disk with the sliders on theVPS page, and each step above the base adds to the monthly price. Your choices carry over to checkout, where you can still change them.
Where do I manage my VPS?
Services, invoices and plan changes are in the client area.
